a leaf simple simply hanging
from its oak tree tall
the wind won’t take it but you can-
please let it fall  

this leaf has not companions
for they all fell before
it was left all alone
no more it cries no more

join me with my friends
it pleads they scatter on the ground-
so the tree it does take mercy
little leaf  it calls be found

the tree it still stands tall
though now cold and lonely and bare
i gave my one friend up it whispers
and believe me, i do care

For english class. We had to write a poem that broke two laws of grammar. It was really hard, even for someone that hates grammar. I had to go back and undo all the proper grammar things I had unconsciously done.

Dunno about grammar, but I like this one. A nature poem with a difference, and has a quality. Nice one. :)
